Nikon D40X Simple Review

Today maybe this product is already discontinued due to the long term period from 2006 till 2008 and already replaced with Nikon D60 in low end DSLR for new user. But i believe this camera won't be that easy to be replaced due to the best offer in price and specification.

Next is some simple review of D40X the upgrade spec of D40

The Nikon D40 was announced on November 2006. The D40X has the same compact lightweight body and easy to use control layout, in fact the only external physical difference is the badge. Under the bonnet Nikon has swapped out the D40's six megapixel CCD for a ten megapixel unit, this also provides a lower base sensitivity of ISO 100 and must utilize dual readout because continuous shooting frame rate has gone up from 2.5 fps to 3.0 fps. Based on the specs and features this camera is clearly aiming to knock the EOS 400D (Digital Rebel XTi) off its pedestal.

Auto Focus only for AF-S or AF-I lenses

As with the D40 the D40X doesn't have an built-in focus drive motor which means it can auto focus only with lenses which have their own drive motor (AF-S and AF-I lenses). The lack of a drive motor can be seen by the missing mechanical focus drive pin on the lens mount (see images below).

Nikon updates firmware for D40 and D40x DSLRs

Nikon has released a firmware update for its D40 and D40x DSLRs. Version 1.12 for the D40 and Version 1.01 for the D40x improve compatibility of both cameras with Nikon's new EN-EL9a batteries. With the updated firmware, the D40 should deliver approximately 510 shots in single-frame shooting mode using the EN-EL9a, according to CIPA standard tests, rather than 470 with the original EN-EL9 pack.

The term Becak in Indonesia means cycle rickshaws. The Becaks were banned in 1994 within the city of Jakarta as they were found to be one of the main causes of traffic jams.

Becaks run efficiently in those places where you don’t find bus services. However, you can still find becaks beside the luxurious Plaza in Indonesia. They are also found on the outskirts of the city at the main road crossings or at smaller country lanes. In fact, the becaks are not found in the bus routes at all.

The becaks are ideal for two passengers. You can get some protection under the hood from the glaring rays of the sun in summer, whereas in winter, they draw a plastic sheet in front of you.

Becaks have flair of their own; it is a great feeling to travel in a becak. You can get the real flavor of Indonesian life on a becak. The becaks are quite cheap and so, they are affordable. Though, the becaks do not have a fixed rate, you can always bargain with the fare. In any case, they won’t charge you exorbitantly high.

A becak is a three-wheeled cycle rickshaw. It is generally decorated in ornate colors, especially though colors vary with the choice of the becak owners. The becaks are sometimes driven by the drivers and sometimes by the owners themselves. The becaks have the number plate on top of the hood. They are very attractive to see. Though the becaks have decreased in number from what they used to be in the past, you can still find a few running through the streets seeking for passengers.

The becaks are free from pollution hazards; so you can try these out when you go to Indonesia. Besides, with their gorgeous display of colors, they are very interesting to travel in.

Indonesia already had its independence about 64 years ago, but the development of farming technology still not spread evenly. As the example the photograph above is taken around the end of 2008 located not far from the city of Bogor, West Java.

Really have big hope to my Indonesian agriculture to rapidly developed in the next 10 years to have its independence in agriculture
